Fresh off our fifth straight game unbeaten, which sees us join North Shields at the top of the form table. Matt (our Media Officer) caught up with the new man between the sticks for a quick chat.

"Hi Aleks, thanks for joining me today. We're just going to go through a couple of questions so that we get to know you a little better.

Q - Can you tell us a little about your journey into football so far?

I'm originally from the UK, but I moved to Canada when I was 3 years old and began playing football over there. This season I have been back and I've been training with Huddersfield Town. The opportunities in the UK are greater than they are back home and I look forward to learning new things, developing and taking the next step in my career

Q - How does it feel joining Northallerton Town?

It feels great to have joined the club, I'm really excited and I hope I can help the team finish the season strongly and avoid the drop

Q - What was it that made you want to join the club?

I wanted to come and get experience playing in the first-team within Men's football. There's a much more physical side to the game that isn't always seen in Academy football

Q - What can the fans expect from you?

The fans can expect me to give everything I have to help the team finish the season on a high

Q - Do you have any goals for your time at Northallerton?

When I joined the team had gone through a rough patch, so the the aim is to finish outside of the relegation places and finish the season strongly. Whilst, on a personal level it would be to get experience of playing at a good level of Men's football

Q - I have a little stat for you. Since you made your debut, we haven't lost a game in which you've played. Is it a little surreal hearing that after a short spell in the team?

I wasn't aware of that! However, the way the team have performed since I have arrived has been amazing and it gives all of us confidence when the results start going our way and the strong performances are bringing points with them too

Q - Finally, do you have a message for the supporters?

My message to the fans is that we will do everything we can to finish the season on a high and hopefully produce some good results and performances

Thanks for your time Aleks!
