Adam, 22, has a wealth of Northern League experience for one so young, having played more than 100 matches in the First and Second Divisions. He finished last season at Crook, where he was on a dual registration with Newton Aycliffe.
While with the Black and Ambers, he forged an impressive central defensive partnership with Josh Allen, who has returned to the Calvert Stadium this summer. Adam has also had two spells with Sunderland RCA and has represented Willington and Tow Law.
He can play at left-back as well as a central defender.
“I enjoyed playing alongside Josh at Crook and hope I can form a similar partnership here at Northallerton,” says Adam. “I also played with Liam (Darville) at Crook so it’ll be good to team up again.
“I just want to enjoy playing football at a good level and from what I’ve seen in training we have a talented group of lads who can do well this season.”
Manager Jamie Poole says: “Adam arrived in pre-season and asked me if he could come in with Liam and Josh, who played with him at Crook. He’s been very good and is so comfortable on the ball.
“Adam’s a great defender with a brilliant attitude. He’s a player I like and who I can work with. He’s got so much potential to go higher.”
