Jonny, 21, is no stranger to the Calvert Stadium, having spent the last four months of the 2023-24 season with us after being released by York City, where he played with fellow Town defender Ben Dale.

A talented and energetic left-sided defender, he joined Darlington under former York manager Steve Watson last summer and spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Bishop Auckland in Northern Premier League East.

"I'm really excited to be here," says Jonny. "I really liked my first time here and for me it's all about being at a club where I can enjoy my football.

"I've seen what Northallerton achieved last season and I'm looking forward to helping the club really kick on this year."

An interesting twist is that Town's first pre-season friendly, on Tuesday July 1, is against Jonny's home-town club Knaresbrough Town at the Calvert Stadium.
