Arriving at the Calvert Stadium are midfielder Lee Hume, 25, and centre-back Ben Dale, 21. Both are experienced players who will strengthen manager Jason Newall’s selection options in the months ahead.
Lee, from Darlington, is a technically-gifted player who can dictate games from the centre of the pitch. He spent five years at Hartlepool United’s academy before turning professional with Darlington for a season.
He has also represented Consett, Billingham Synthonia and Crook, where he earned the nickname ‘Crunchie’ due to his appetite for a tackle. He also captained the Black and Ambers and could make his debut against them in next Saturday’s match at the Calvert Stadium.
Ben is a highly-rated defender who was formerly on York City’s books and represented them at U-19 level. He is well-known by manager Jason, who played with his dad, Mikey, for Northallerton.
Manager Jason says: “Lee and Ben are quality players we have been tracking for some time and I’m absolutely delighted to welcome them to Northallerton. These arrivals are a big sign of our ambition as a Club.
“Lee’s someone who can really bolster our midfield and Ben is a highly-promising local lad who exactly fits our philosophy about recruiting the best local talent.”
