Dave is fondly remembered for his years of distinguished service to Northallerton Town at both senior and junior levels. He was founder and Life President of Northallerton Town Juniors FC and also a Life President of the senior Club.

After representing the Club as a player in the 1970s and 1980s, he became a dedicated volunteer who gave valuable assistance behind the scenes.

Dave played an integral role in shaping football in the Northallerton area after founding the Juniors in 1985. Northallerton Town FC benefited directly from his tireless dedication to developing local talent from youth to adult ages and he was highly respected in local football circles.

His influence as a senior figure guided the next generation of volunteers in the juniors and he became an ever-present on the touchlines on Saturday and Sunday mornings to offer advice and support to anyone who needed it.
