He did so well he has been invited to join Jamie Poole's squad for the 2026-27 season. Adam, 21, is a real discovery - a skilful right-winger whose pace and athleticism threaten to test the best defences.

Born in Middlesbrough and now living in Darlington, he decided to jump on a plane from his relatives' home in Morocco and try his luck when he heard Northallerton were giving a chance to trialists.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to be given this opportunity," he says. "I decided to give the trials a go and I'm glad I did. I can't wait to get started.

"This is a real step up for me, having previously played for Darlington U-23s, Darlington RA and Haughton-le-Skerne. I played with Luca Sartini for the Darlington U-17 youth team and am getting to know the rest of the lads at Northallerton - they've all made me feel really welcome."

Adam, who has just completed his BSc in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation at Teesside University, has already impressed in Town's pre-season programme.

Manager Jamie says: "We were really impressed with Adam and invited him back from the trials. His pace and skill going past players get you on the edge of your seat as he’s an exciting player to watch. I'm happy he’s chosen to come to Northallerton."
